Scultped in Zbrush. Cross referenced anatomy of Lemurs, Shrews, and Bats. Read some scientific studies on evolution of Colugos. Spent some time in Meuseums and Zoos for this as well.
The skin sculpture was focused more on the underlying anatomy rather than accuracy. The skin of the Colugo is very stretchy rather than leathery, more akin to a wet balloon than anything else. So the sculpture here isn't entirely accurate to the real animal, but it does show the incredible cape feature and the attatchment points.
Pose was done in blender using my usual workflow. Muscles in the "rest pose" are all properly boolean'd for simulation. The Pose used a version where they are not properly booleaned to save me the headache.
